Blair Mahan graduated from Madison in 1977 with an electrical engineer degree. He started at Benson Electric cleaning, truck driving and delivering, working in motor and machine shop and in the field as an electrician. He took over in 1990, as the third-generation owner. He started on the advisory board for Embark in 1978, was promoted to the board in 1999, and became president in 2002. Some of Blair’s many community contributions include Embark’s board, Jaycees (junior chamber), Masonic Organizations, Elks, Kiwanis, but NECA was his volunteer work passion.
