Responsible for the day-to-day operations including but not limited to facility, community and employer-based employment programs for individuals with disabilities and/or barriers to employment.
Ashby Rawstern has been working in human service professions for 20 years. This includes Embark for three years, two of which were program management and now as Executive Director. Prior to that, she spent 11 years as a correctional officer working primarily with juveniles. Ashby graduated from Northern State University with a B.A. in Sociology with a specialization in Criminal Justice and a Psychology minor. She is a proud member of the Disability Services Provider Network. She also has certifications as a Mental Health Practitioner and Motivational Interviewing. In her spare time, Ashby enjoys spending time with her family which includes her husband Brian, son Sloane, and dog Baxter. Ashby believes that challenges make life interesting, but overcoming those challenges makes life meaningful. She also believes that we are all in this together. Ashby is passionate about the people that she serves, their support teams, and the staff that make all of this possible. She believes that everyone should have a job they enjoy and interact with the community they live in!
